The following information was compiled from City of Renton police reports:
A woman was shot at multiple times as she drove by Lindbergh High School May 28 at about 11:10 p.m.
The 26-year-old and her 5-year-old son weren’t seriously injured.
The woman was traveling down Southeast 164th Street and had just passed 128th Avenue Southeast in her 1992 Nissan Maxima, when a man wearing a black hoody and bandanna pulled a gun from his waist and began shooting.
She heard about three bullets hit the car as she sped off, and felt a pain in her thigh.
The pain was caused when a bullet hit the emergency break leaver, which was next to her leg.
Police extracted three bullets, one that had caused a flat tire. There aren’t any suspects.
Boy refuses to fight back against abusive girl
When a woman began slapping her cheating boyfriend, he decided to call police instead of hitting her back.
When police arrived at the 1300 block of South Eagle Ridge Drive June 2, the girlfriend told police she had been assaulted and hit her boyfriend in self-defense.
The boyfriend told police that they were trying to work on their relationship when he told her he cheated on her three weeks before.
He said the girl “freaked” out on him and began slapping him with an open hand in the face and on his arms.
He told police he didn’t want to prosecute, but there was nothing else to do but call because he couldn’t hit her back and she wouldn’t stop.
Police arrested the girlfriend.
Man forgets credit card, loses $300
A man lost $300 after accidentally leaving his credit car in a cash machine on the 300 block of South Grady Way May 28.
The man had driven up to the machine to check his balance. When he feared he was taking too much time, he grabbed the receipt and drove away.
A newer full-sized pickup truck pulled behind him. When he realized he forgot his card, he asked the driver if he could have it back.
The driver denied having the card. When the man called to put a fraud alert on his account, he learned that $300 had been withdrawn.
Mother beats husband, scrapes child
Police arrested an intoxicated mother after she hit her husband, scratched her child and hung up a 911 phone call May 29.
When police arrived, they saw the husband visibly upset and clenching his hair.
When police asked what happened, he told them his wife jumped on his back and then pulled his arms behind him on the 700 block of South 31st Street.
A child began calling police when the mother scratched the child and hung up the call.
Police went upstairs to find the two children hiding in the bathroom. The mother was hiding in the bedroom under some sheets.
She smelled of intoxicants. She had a history of substance abuse.
Outboard motor stolen
A hydraulic floor jack and outboard motor were stolen from the owner’s backyard on the 1100 block of Southwest Sunset Boulevard May 25.
The owner regularly hires help from a charity and suspects it was either one of the workers or a neighbor.
Girl shaken until she screams
A drunken boyfriend of 20 years grabbed the wrists of his girlfriend and shook her until she screamed for help.
He let her leave, when she went outside to call police.
The boyfriend was arrested for fourth-degree assault and booked in jail.
Missing ring
A woman’s diamond ring went missing at the 4400 block of Davis Avenue South May 21.
When police asked if it was misplaced, the owner insisted that it stays in a dish next to her bed at night.
The woman suggested that her caregiver was the only one with access.
