Gym A/B received a new audio system as well with the use of wall-mounted wireless microphones. Touch control panels were also installed to manage audio, video and room configurations.

“This makes it easier for Renton Community Center staff to navigate the A/V systems,” Renton Client Technology Services and Support Supervisor Harpreet Singh said.

Singh said the upgrades were needed.

“Existing audio and video systems were outdated and no longer supported by the current technological standards. We were constantly running into issues with gym speakers, and banquet hall audio video devices,” Singh said. “The previous setup lacked modern capabilities like wireless video streaming, seamless integration of wired and wireless devices, and scalable A/V control systems.”

Singh said the new upgrades will give the community center an enhanced user experience, increased flexibility and professional presentation capabilities that will allow users to connect their laptops, tablets and other devices easily.

“Attendees and presenters will benefit from high-definition displays, improved sound clarity, and seamless control of audio-visual components,” Singh said. “Rooms can be configured for a wide range of events such as small meetings, large gatherings, or simultaneous events in separate rooms.”

The upgrades will also allow for hybrid and virtual meetings with Teams and Zoom support in Classroom B, Singh said. He also said the new system will allow work better with future upgrades.

“The new upgraded infrastructure has built-in flexibility, allowing the addition of new equipment such as screens, or control systems via future change orders,” Singh said.
