Renton firefighter Joshua Baker, 33, was tragically killed in an automobile accident in Snoqualmie Sunday.

Baker joined King County Fire District 40 in 2007 before becoming a Renton firefighter in 2008. Most recently, he was assigned to Engine 13, one of the city’s busiest engine companies.

“On behalf of the City of Renton and the Fire and Emergency Services, we extend our deepest and sincere sympathies to Joshua Baker’s family and friends,” said Fire Chief/Emergency Services Administrator Mark Peterson.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Snoqualmie Valley Alliance Church at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20. The church is at 36017 S.E. Fish Hatchery Road, Fall City.

A memorial fund has been established for the Baker family and donations may be left at any U.S. Bank branch in memory of Joshua Baker. He is survived by his wife and their two children, a son, 3, and a daughter, 11 months.
