The closing of the polls takes on a whole new meaning in all-mail elections.
A general election ballot needs to be postmarked today, which usually means getting to a post office by the close of its business day.
If the post office is closed, head on down to the King County Elections Division headquarters at 919 S.W. Grady Way in Renton. There’s a drop-off box in the parking lot that will take the ballot envelopes until 8 p.m., the official close of the election. No stamp is necessary.
The elections headquarters in Renton also is an Accessible Voting Center, where those with a disability or who need help filling out a ballot can go for assistance by 8 p.m.
