The following is compiled based on City of Renton police reports.

A Renton man was tied up and robbed in his house by two suspects on Oct. 27.

The man, who lives in the 1000 block of Lynnwood Avenue Northeast, called police just after midnight.

The 22-year-old man was coming home when the two suspects approached him at his front door and forced their way in behind him, displaying a gun.

They ordered him downstairs and told him to straddle a chair as they tied up his hands with a shoestring. The suspects asked him his name and then left him, he believes, to go rifle through the rest of the residence.

The 22-year-old got up, freed himself and called police 30 minutes after he heard a car pull away.

One of the suspects was described as a black male adult, 5-foot-7-inches, 170 pounds and wearing all black with a ski mask over his face. He was armed with a semi-automatic handgun.

The other suspect was described as a black male adult, 5-foot-10-inches, 200 pounds, wearing all black and dark shirts wrapped around his head. The shirts concealed everything, but his eyes. This suspect had a baseball bat.

The 22-year-old wasn’t sure what was stolen.

Divorced pair fights over dog visitation

A former Renton couple fought over visitation rights to their two dogs on Oct. 20.

A 45-year-old Renton man reported to police his ex-wife was refusing to allow him visitation with their two dogs.

The man said he has been divorced from his ex-wife for almost two years. According to him, he gave her everything in the divorce but the two dogs.

The female dog is worth $3,000 and the male is worth $5,000, the man said.

The ex-wife said the man is too confrontational and can’t visit the dogs anymore.

Police advised the man to pursue the issue in a civil process.

Two caught on camera burglarizing Chang’s Mongolian Grill

Chang’s Mongolian Grill was burglarized on Oct. 25.

The alarm at the restaurant, 505 Rainier Ave. N., was tripped at 3:44 a.m.

Police found the front door of the restaurant shattered but intact. Inside the office door window had been shattered as well.

A digital video system revealed two suspects hitting the front door with a large landscaping rock, forcing the door open.

One of the suspects was wearing a camouflaged jacket and the other a black jacket. They can be seen running to the office, breaking the office door window and ransacking the office.

The footage also captures the suspects looking directly at the security camera at different points during the taping.

The only thing that appeared to have been taken were two empty cash bags.
