Renton to open emergency overnight shelter

It will operate between Jan. 18 through Jan. 21 nightly from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.

The City of Renton announced the opening of an overnight emergency cold weather shelter.

Jan. 16, The City of Renton announced that it’s activating the Overnight Emergency Cold Weather Shelter, which will be open at St. Anthony’s Rec Hall, 501 S. 4th St., Renton, from Jan. 18 through Jan. 21 nightly from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. The nonprofit agency, REACH, operates the shelter.

• Drop-ins are welcome

• Maximum capacity of 40

• Separate areas for men, women, and families

• Snacks, food, and warm beverage provided

• Mats and blankets provided
