Renton police arrested a homicide suspect on Aug. 9 who was believed to have attacked a relative with a knife.
According to the Renton Police Department, officers arrested a 40-year-old man after discovering a 70-year-old woman dead with multiple cut wounds to her upper body in a Renton neighborhood.
Renton police received a 911 call at 7:08 p.m. Aug. 9 from a resident in the 11800 block of Southeast 188th Street regarding a neighbor covered in blood and laying on the porch of a home in the area, according to the department.
Officers arrived on scene and found the 70-year-old woman deceased with “obvious cut wounds,” in addition to a knife believed to have been the murder weapon outside the home.
Officers contacted a 40-year-old relative of the victim’s at the scene and based on observations, arrested and booked the man into the King County Jail.
