Renton police investigations into bomb threats directed at a Renton Sikh Temple and brewpub have hit dead ends.

According to the department, search warrants served for both cases resulted in inconclusive findings.

The Brewmaster’s Taproom and Gurudwara Singh Sabha of Washington, a Sikh temple in Renton, both served as targets of bomb threats in August 2023.

Threats against The Brewmaster Taproom delivered via email on Aug. 12 included death threats directed at six named individuals in addition to claims that bombs had been placed at the establishment and the owner’s home.

According to the department, in regards to the threats against The Brewmaster’s Taproom, police served multiple search warrants through Google, tracing the sources back to locations in Nigeria with no specific leads back in the U.S.

Search warrants served in the investigation of threats facing the Sikh temple also hit dead ends.
