A 31-year-old man died from multiple gunshot wounds Sept. 1, according to the Renton Police Department.

At about 5:30 a.m., police responded to a 911 call and found the man on the ground and not moving in the 300 block of Southwest Sunset Boulevard, according to the police department. The man was dead on the scene, and detectives have taken over the investigation, according to the department.

“Preliminary information indicates that this homicide was not random and that there is no risk to the public,” according to a Twitter post from the department.
