Renton police are looking for the owner of a dog who attacked and injured another dog at Sunset Neighborhood Park on Jan 29th.

According to a Renton Police Department Facebook post, Bentley, an 11 year old miniature Australian shepherd mix was at the park with his owner’s neighbor when he was viciously attacked and severely injured.

Police say it was a German Shepherd that attacked Bentley and while both dogs were leashed, the German Shepherd is believed to have escaped its leash.

The presumed owner of the dog and her group are believed to have left the park with the dog immediately following the attack.

Bentley survived his injuries but police say his recovery will be a long one.
