Renton police seek missing indigenous man

Officers last contacted Talin Morris on Oct. 13 near his residence.

Law enforcement have initiated a search for a missing 34-year-old indigenous Renton man.

According to an email from Meeghan Black, a spokesperson for the Renton Police Department, officers last contacted Talin Morris on Oct. 13 near his residence in the 16400 block of 126th Place Southeast.

Morris stated to officers he planned on heading to his grandmother’s residence in Bellingham, according to the department. Morris’s family have not heard from him.

The last sighting of Morris occurred at approximately 5:38 p.m. Oct. 13 at an adult care facility on 126th Place Southeast in Renton.

The Renton Police Department described Morris as 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 240 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, last seen wearing a brown canvas jacket and dark blue jeans.

According to the email thread, Morris has a history of mental illness, potentially including a substance use disorder.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the agency activated a missing indigenous person alert for Morris at the request of the Renton Police Department on Oct. 23, ten days following Morris’s last sighting.
