Dr. Michelle Zimmerman, Director of Renton Preparatory Middle/High School Campus, was recently honored with the NCCE 2016 Outstanding Technology Educator of the Year Award.

The NCCE 2016 Technology Educator award is provided by Northwest Council for Computer Education (NCCE), a North Idaho educational technology professional development organization and Troxell Communications.

While attending the largest educational technology conference in Seattle, Zimmerman was honored for her research, networking, integrity and intellect but most of all her humility and heart for creating a vision for all Renton Prep students to thrive and be challenged.

“Zimmerman has an ability to guide and use her research, connections and ongoing professional development to impact learners, stated NCCE Executive Director Heidi Rogers . “She reaches students, parents, community and staff daily as you can see from her Annual Dance program, multiple field trips, Seattle Shakespeare and many more community connections in and around Seattle. I know personally how busy she is and how much she puts in behind the scenes for her students and staff. She is well deserving of this award because she is truly an innovative and influential educator.

Zimmerman joins a prestigious group of Technology Educators in the Northwest, including IT Directors, Superintendents, ESD Technology Directors and Principals.
