Renton Rotary Club’s March Youth of the Month are:
Annie Dang is a senior at Hazen High School. She holds a 3.78 grade point average (G.P.A.). Dang has been involved in FBLA, ASB Class Office, Buddy Club, Gordy Guides, National Honor Society, Relay for Life, Hazen Volleyball, and a local Buddhist Youth Group. She has received Top 20 percent of class recognition, scholar athlete, most spirited—volleyball, and several varsity volleyball letters. Dang works part-time at Jamba Juice and volunteers with Peace Trees. She plans to attend a four-year university to study biology or biostatistics and to minor in anthropology. Dang hopes to find a career to use her knowledge of the sciences.
Linda Ly is a senior at Lindbergh High School. Ly holds a 3.81 G.P.A. She has been a member of Eagle Crew, Key Club, FBLA, ASB Class Office, National Honor Society and Team Agape. Ly has earned National Honor Society, FBLA Awards, Outstanding Junior Scholarship certificate and honors biology honor student award. She works part-time with International Fashions and volunteers through Key Club. After high school, Ly plans to attend Seattle University to major in business. She hopes to become the CEO or president of a major fashion or beauty company.
Emily Yoshioka is a senior at Renton High School. Yoshioka holds a 4.0 G.P.A. She has been involved with Key Club, National Honor Society, Renton Peer Mentoring, Student Key Communicators, cross country, track and gymnastics. Yoshioka has received several department chair awards, honor roll, Outstanding Junior Award, and the American Association of University Women Certificate of Excellence in Technology. She volunteers with Relay for Life, Birthday Dreams and National Japanese-American United Methodist Church Caucus. She plans to attend a four-year university to study in the math and science field. Yoshioka hopes to find a career in the science, technology, engineering and math field that also relates to business.
