The public has their first opportunity to participate in the search for a new Renton School District superintendent.

The Renton School Board will host a study session for its board members and a special board meeting on December 18. Both meetings are open to the public.

The study session will be from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and the special board meeting will follow at 7 p.m.The meetings will take place at the Kohlwes Education Center Boadroom, 300 SW Seventh Street in Renton.

In the study session, the board of directors will interview superintendent search firm candidates, who have submitted a request for proposal and met the requirements of the process.In the special board meeting following, the school board members will vote on a superintendent search firm.
