Renton seeking Citizen of the Year nominations

Candidates who exemplify the traits of an Outstanding Citizen are people who have served Renton beyond the call of duty and who demonstrate strong character, leadership and commitment to the community.

Do you know someone who promotes and supports Renton, who performs acts of good will in an effort to help others and to improve the quality of life in Renton? This is your chance to recognize that special person for their commitment to Renton community.

Candidates who exemplify the traits of an Outstanding Citizen are people who have served Renton beyond the call of duty and who demonstrate strong character, leadership and commitment to the community.

Nomination forms are available at the Renton Chamber of Commerce and other community buildings, or you can download an application from the City of Renton’s website from the Spotlight page.

Nominations for the 2013 Renton Citizen of the Year are being accepted through September 13, 2013.

Renton’s Citizen of the Year program is sponsored by the Renton Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club of Renton, and the City of Renton.

Nomination forms are reviewed by a selection committee, who will choose two Outstanding Citizens and one Citizen of the Year to be honored at a special awards banquet on Oct. 16 at the Renton Senior Activity Center. For more information and reservations, visit www.GoRenton.com or call 425-226-4560.
