The Renton severe weather shelter at Harambee Church will now remain open through Tuesday night as freezing temperatures are expected to grip the area this weekend.
The shelter is located at Harambee Church, 316 S. 3rd St., Renton.
Check in an registration is at 9 p.m. and the shelter will close at 8 a.m. each morning and all must vacate.
There are separate sleeping space for men, women, and for families with children. The SWS will be operated by Catholic Community Services staff and volunteers from Harambee Church and the greater Renton community.
All must register at the door. As with all shelters, rules for the health and safety of clients, staff and the broader community will apply.
Dinner and breakfast will be provided. The shelter can serve up to 50 people maximum.
