A Renton woman was one of two people injured early Thursday morning during a motorcycle crash in Tukwila.

A Renton woman was one of two people injured early Thursday morning during a motorcycle crash in Tukwila.

Lorelei Newman, 33, of Renton, was the passenger on a motorcycle driven by Benjamin Baer, 33, of Puyallup, when Baer failed to negotiate the on ramp curve from state Route 181 to Interstate 405. Both the driver and passenger were ejected from the bike into the brush on the left shoulder and the vehicle came to rest blocking the ramp.

Both were wearing helmets, but were injured in the accident and transported to Valley Medical Center for treatment.

The roadway was blocked for a total of three hours and 14 minutes.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
