Here’s how to play the IKEA Renton River Days Duck Hunt, a great way to lead up to the festival July 23-25.
Between now and Renton River Days, follow the clues to find 25 lost ducklings and make momma duck Diana happy again. Print out a duck hunt bingo card, or get one at any of the ducklings’ locations. Then get a stamp for each duck in the box with their name. Get one or more bingos (five ducks in a row) and become eligible to win such prizes as an iPod Touch or boots from Renton Western Wear at Renton River Days.
Rentonreporter.com is serializing the clues, with a new one posted each day. Here’s the clue left behind by Dagmar.
This little duck said, “The past is our future, so I’m going to dig my bill into the history of this place! Maybe this guy can help me light my way there!”
The clues so far:
FEATHER: “I’m going DOWNTOWN to check out some books, just like this friend of mine.”
GROWLER: This duckie sent us this and said, “Doesn’t this art just make you feel all Delusionally Happy? I love it! I am so there!”
INDIGO: This duck is said to want to visit the highlands to partake in some light reading. Not the Scottish highlands, but a different kind.
UMA: “Cake in a cup? I’ve never heard of THAT before! I’m sure glad we’ve got some common grounds between us.”
NANCY: This duckie wanted to go find some new jewelry. Then she switched to a foreign language saying, “Moi? J’adore la France. C’est la Vie! C’est Moi!”
CLOVER: “Is it FAIR that I like to float on a piece of WOOD while catching up on my free reading?”
