The Rotary Club of Renton has honored its Teachers of the Month for May.

As part of the recognition, teachers attend Rotary’s Teacher of the Month luncheon at Maplewood Golf Course. Each teacher receives $200 for classroom supplies or instructional materials.

• Tricia Berger teaches a fourth-fifth split class at Lakeridge Elementary.

Berger earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in the art of education from Pacific Lutheran University.

She is a National Board Certified Teacher in English, language arts and early adolescence.

This is Berger’s first year teaching in Renton.

• James Boutin is a language arts and social studies teacher at Renton High School.

Boutin earned a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in secondary social science education from the University of Tennessee.

This is Boutin’s second year teaching in Renton.
