Rotary picks March Teachers of the Month

The Rotary Club of Renton has honored its Teachers of the Month for March.

The Rotary Club of Renton has honored its Teachers of the Month for March.

  • Marcia Lynch is the program manager at Sartori Education Center.

    Before becoming a teacher, Lynch was an executive director of the Washington Association for Career and Technical Education. She also owned a travel agency and consultant business.

    Lynch earned a bachelor of arts in education with an emphasis in home and family life education from Central Washington University. She also earned a masters from CWU in occupational education administration and her P-12 principal’s credentials.

    This is Lynch’s 13th year teaching in Renton.

  • Sharon Judge is a first-grade teacher at Benson Hill Elementary School.

    Before teaching in Renton, Judge taught in a migrant school in the Midwest were she would teach a new group of students every three months.

    She also taught special education to students in a private cerebral palsy center.

    She earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and history from Portland State University.

    This is Judge’s 19th year teaching in the Renton School District.

  • Erin Jacob is a preschool special education teacher with the Renton Early Childhood Education Program.

    Before moving to Renton, she taught kindergarten through eighth grade special education in Maryland.

    Jacob double majored in early childhood education and development and in early childhood special education at the University of Delaware.

    Erin has been a teacher in Renton for three years.

As part of the recognition, teachers attend Rotary’s Teacher of the Month luncheon at Maplewood Golf Course. Each teacher receives $200 for classroom supplies or instructional mate
