The Renton School District Board of Directors will present a proposed 2007-2008 budget extension to citizens at a public hearing at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Kohlwes Education Center.
Any person may speak for or against the extension at the hearing.
This year’s budget is just over $119 million. But because of unexpected federal and state grants, district staff wants to increase the budget by a little over $2.2 million.
District staff is not legally allowed to spend more than the School Board approves.
The School Board will vote on whether to approve the budget revision during the public hearing.
Kohlwes Education Center is at 300 S.W. Seventh Street.
