Seahawks Super Bowl send-off set for Sunday morning in SeaTac

Fans are invited to line the 1.1 mile route on South 188th Street starting at 46th Avenue South toward 28th Avenue South in the city of SeaTac.

Seahawks fans can show their support on Sunday morning as the team leaves for Arizona and Super Bowl 49.

Fans are invited to line the 1.1 mile route on South 188th Street starting at 46th Avenue South toward 28th Avenue South in the city of SeaTac. In order to ensure fan safety, barricades will be in staged along the S. 188th route with signage to direct fans to approved viewing areas.

Fans are encouraged to bring “12” flags, signs and loud voices to demonstrate support as the team buses pass.

The Seahawks team departure is presented by PrimeSport, the Official Seahawks Super Bowl Travel Partner.

The send-off event begins at 9 a.m.

The Seahawks encourage fans to park at the following locations:

• Chinook Middle School, 18650 42nd Avenue South, SeaTac;

• Tyee Educational Complex, 4424 S188th #800, SeaTac;

• Bow Lake Elementary School, 18237 42nd Avenue South, SeaTac;

• SeaTac City Hall, 4800 South 188th Street SeaTac;

• Angle Lake Park, 19408 International Boulevard, SeaTac; or

• SeaTac Airport- (Paid Parking), 7801 International Boulevard

ROAD CLOSURES:

Beginning at 8:30 a.m., WSP and WSDOT will close I-5 exit No. 152 (188th Street and Orillia North and Southbound). Please note there will be no stopping, exiting or access to 188th from I-5 and both directions of South 188 Street from Military Road to International Boulevard will be closed.

At 9:15 a.m., both directions of International Boulevard and Eastbound South 188 Street will be closed.

There will be no access or staging areas along Seahawks Way outside of VMAC, the Seahawks training facility, in Renton.

Fans are encouraged to keep intersections open and not block private driveways.

Fans are encouraged to carpool and be respectful of residential parking spots.

Travelers departing from SeaTac Airport are encouraged to use the Highway 518 exit from I-5.

Due to construction, Air Cargo Road (28th Avenue South) will be closed to pedestrians and non-permitted vehicles.

Due to TSA security, there will be no access for fans to view the players boarding the aircraft.
