The following information was compiled from Renton Police Department’s incident reports.
Police officers were dispatched on July 3 to a coffee shop located on the 200 block of Southwest 43rd Street regarding a female who was allegedly committing an indecent act in public.
When the officer arrived to the location, he recognized the suspect from previous cases. She was clothed but had both hands down the front of her pants with her eyes shut. The report reads, “it was clear she was masturbating.”
Another customer walked out of the coffee shop, approached the officer, and asked if he was going to “take care of that,” nodding to the suspect.
The officer noted in the report that he knew of her to be a drug user with an altered mental state and that for his safety he detained the suspect in hand cuffs. He read her rights, but he reported it was evident she was too high on narcotics to talk to him.
She was unable to follow their conversation, and when asked a question, would answer with a different topic that didn’t pertain to the question.
She was placed under arrest for breach of peace, and was booked into SCORE Jail in Des Moines.
Not a good time: A woman was reportedly robbed on June 3 near a gas station located on the 100 block of Southwest Sunset Boulevard.
According to the victim, she was approached by two males and a female who said, “Hey lady, what’s up? Do you have a boyfriend? Are you a prostitute? Let’s have a good time.”
She said she cussed the suspects for calling her a prostitute. Then the female suspect punched in her in the mouth and one of the male suspects reached in her bra and took out $20. She screamed for help and all three suspects left running.
Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.

Who stole the tractor?: A man, who said he was the vice president of a little league, reported that an orange Kabota tractor that was used to take the baseball field was stolen from the storage building by the field on July 3. He said the tractor was worth about $10,000.
He also said there was a pad lock on the storage building but it was cut of by what appeared to be bolt cutters.

Parking lot robbery: A woman reported on July 1 that she was robbed at the Safeway located on Northeast Fourth Street.
She said she was unloading groceries into her car when a man approached her from behind holding a knife. He said to her, “I’m not going to hurt you if you cooperate,” and demanded her money, debit cards and drivers license.
He took her cards and about $330 from her purse, then threw it back into her vehicle and fled on foot.
She said she did not immediately call for police assistance because she was scared and wanted to return to her child.
She described him as a male, between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches, wearing a dark blue hoodie, blue jeans, black work boots and black bandana that covered his face.
