Residents are invited to bring up to five boxes of paper to be destroyed in a truck-mounted shredder in the Sam’s Club parking lot on Oct. 3.

Boxes should be 12 to 15 inches deep and 10 inches high or bring the amount of paper a box that size would hold.

Donations of canned goods will be accepted for Renton Food Bank. The event is co-sponsored by Sam’s Club, The City of Renton, Renton Police Department and Iron Mountain. For details go to rentonwa.gov and search shredathon or call 425-430-7520.
