Registration is still open for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Seattle Out of the Darkness Overnight Walk June 21 to 22.
The 20-mile walk begins at sunset on the June 21 and ends at sunrise on June 22.
Proceeds will support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, funding research, suicide prevention and awareness programs and support for survivors of suicide loss.
This is the first year Seattle will host The Overnight.
Last year’s New York City Overnight raised nearly $3 million and brought together 1,700 participants. New York City will host another Overnight this year. Both the Seattle and New York City Overnights are expected to raise a combined $4 million for suicide prevention.
