The local Sikh community is joining the Salaam Cultural Museum in Seattle to collect clothing and other items for Syrian refugees in Europe.

Items such as new and used clothing, toys and winter accessories at the Renton Singh Sabha Gurudwara, 5200 Talbot Rd. S. in Renton.

According to an email from the group, “Helping those in need is the core of humanity, and this is the least we can do as a great number of Syrian refugees search for a new and safer home.”

The last day to donate is Wednesday, Nov. 18.
