King County Road Services crews Wednesday narrowed a portion of Southeast May Valley Road to just one lane in the area of the 22800 block due to damage from a slide on the south side of the road.

The roadway connects Renton and Issaquah and will be open to traffic in just one direction at a time within the closure area using a temporary automated traffic signal.

Road engineers will be assessing the roadway condition and the lane will be closed until further notice. Drivers should prepare for congestion and delays as traffic must alternate access using the temporary signal.
