Domestic disturbance

Renton police responded on Dec. 17 at approximately 11:32 a.m. to a domestic disturbance in progress it the 200 block of Whitworth Avenue South. Upon arrival, officers learned that the victim’s brother had punched her several times and had threatened two others over some missing property, according to the department. The 51-year-old suspect was arrested and booked into jail without incident.

Drive-through chase

Renton police located a stolen vehicle in a restaurant drive-through on Dec. 12 at approximately 7:40 p.m. in the 300 block of Sunset Boulevard North. Officers attempted to block the car with their patrol vehicles as the driver of the stolen car tried to flee, intentionally striking a patrol car, according to the department. The suspect exited the vehicle and took off on foot. Following a short chase, he was arrested.

Officers recovered a loaded handgun, multiple vehicle keys and fobs, several computer tablets, and license plates during a search of the vehicle, according to the department. The suspect held multiple prior felony convictions and had current warrants out for his arrest. Law enforcement arrested the man and booked him into jail.

Domestic assault

Renton police responded at 1:10 a.m. Dec. 17 to the 1800 block of Northeast 27th Street after receiving a report of a domestic disturbance in progress. On arrival, officers learned that a physical fight had occurred between a husband and wife, according to the department. Law enforcement arrested the husband for assaulting his wife and booked him into jail on a charge of assault in the second degree.

Residential burglary

Renton police responded at 9:53 a.m. Dec. 12 to a report of suspicious subjects in the 200 block of Index Avenue Southeast. As officers arrived, they noticed a vehicle leaving from the direction of the address, and one unit followed that car, according to the department. The other officers arrived at the home and noticed evidence of forced entry. Officers entered the home and found an elderly female who had been hiding upstairs. Based on the information from the victim, the officer held probable cause for the subjects in the black vehicle seen leaving the home.

Additional officers located the black vehicle, and a witness said they had seen four teenagers running from the car, according to the department. The King County Sheriff’s Office Guardian One helicopter assisted with the search. According to the department, the suspects remain outstanding.

Armed robbery

Renton police responded at 5:20 p.m. Dec. 10 to a robbery that had just occurred at the intersection of South 27th Place and South 26th Street. The victim stated he was on a walk with his wife when a car suddenly pulled up next to them, according to the department. Two juvenile subjects, one with a handgun, exited the car and demanded the victims’ cell phones and wallets, according to the department. The victims didn’t have them and the suspects rummaged through their pockets and fled.
