Strangled by her husband | Renton police blotter

Shooting: Renton police officers responded on July 10 just after 6:30 p.m. to the 500 block of Monster Road Southwest for a shooting. According to the department, officers located a woman with injuries to her hands. She stated she had been shot a number of minutes prior, and was unable to provide any suspect information at the time. First responders transported the woman to the hospital.

Robbery: Renton police responded on July 8 to the 1000 block of South 2nd Street at around 10 a.m. for reports of a robbery. According to the department, a man advised officers he was meeting with an individual whom he had contacted through social media to sell some jewelry. The individual punched the man, stole the jewelry, and fled on foot. Police were unable to locate the individual.

Strangled: Renton police responded on July 12 just before 8:15 a.m. to the 2900 block of Maple Valley Highway. According to the department, a woman reported she had been strangled by her husband and suffered injuries. Police located the man outside of City Hall and took him into custody.

Shots fired, pepper sprayed: Renton police responded on July 13 just after 11:30 p.m. to the 11900 block of Southeast 175th Street after receiving reports of a massive fight with shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located shell casings and a woman who had been pepper sprayed in the altercation. Officers then responded to Valley Medical Center after receiving notification of a woman arriving by vehicle with a gunshot wound. Detectives continue investigation into the incident.
