Robbery

Renton officers were dispatched on June 17 just after 8:30 p.m. to the 400 block of Renton Center Southwest to reports of a robbery. According to the department, a man stated that while he was sitting in a parking lot, two suspects approached his vehicle and pointed handguns at him. The suspects took the man’s cellphone. No injuries were reported resulting from the incident.

She wrote a note

Renton police responded on June 22 at approximately 7 a.m. to a robbery in the 400 block of Airport Way. According to the department, a woman reported that another woman approached her while she was working. The other woman handed the woman a note that stated she had a firearm and wanted money. No injuries were reported resulting from the incident.

Suicidal subject

Renton officers were dispatched on June 19 just before 12 p.m. to a report of a suicidal subject in the 16000 block of 123rd Avenue Southeast. Officers arrived and as they walked the individual to a responding TriMed medical unit, the subject punched an officer in the face and intentionally spat on a TriMed employee. First responders transported the man to the hospital. Assault charges were forwarded to prosecutors.

Punched by minor

Renton police were dispatched on June 21 just after 9 p.m. to an apartment complex in the 1200 block of North 10th Street after receiving reports of a robbery. A woman reported to police that while she was attempting to get a group of minors to leave a secured area, one of the minors punched her in the face and stole her phone. The woman reported minor injuries.

Struck and threatened

Renton police responded on June 22 at around 11:30 p.m. to the 3800 block of Northeast 4th Street after receiving reports of an attempting carjacking with a firearm. According to the department, officers located two individuals who reported that their vehicle had been struck by another vehicle. They reported a subject exited the vehicle that struck them and aimed a rifle at both of them, demanding their items. As the individuals ran away, they said they heard gunshots. Neither individual suffered any injuries in the incident.
