UPDATE: According to a new Twitter post from the Renton Police Department, the victim and the suspect knew each other and got into an argument that resulted in the stabbing. The victim’s injuries are non-life-threatening and are to his hand and chest.

The Renton Police Department has responded to a stabbing along the Cedar River Trail near Interstate 405, according to the department’s Twitter feed.

The victim “appears to have minor injuries,” though unspecified, and has been transported to a hospital.

A suspect has been detained.
