The grandson suspected in the deaths of an elderly Fairwood couple was released from the state prison in Monroe hours before they died.

Michael (Chadd) Boysen met with his community corrections officer in Kent Friday afternoon, according to Norah West, a public information officer for the state Department of Corrections.

The couple in their 80s died either late Friday or Saturday at their home in the 16200 block of 145th Avenue Southeast, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office, assisted by state corrections specialists who work with local, state and federal agencies to track down missing releasees under state supervision, are trying to locate Boysen and his grandparents’ car.

Boysen served nine months at the Monroe prison for attempted residential burglary that occurred in King County last year. He also served time in the state prison system at Clallam Bay, Monroe and McNeil Island staring in November 2006; he was released in 2011, according to West.

Boysen was required to meet with the community corrections officer in Kent again on Monday, West said.

The King County Sheriff’s Office is holding a press conference at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Seattle to discuss the case.
