The following reports were compiled based on City of Renton police reports.
A 15-year-old threatened his school bus driver on June 1.
The 44-year-old school bus driver notified the transportation officer for the district that a student had threatened her while she was driving from the Renton Academy to Cascade Elementary School.
When police arrived, the teenager tried to walk away but he was apprehended. He was handcuffed and placed on a bench, where he began to swear at officers.
Apparently when the bus was en route the bus driver attempted to get the young man to be quiet by telling him to “zip” his mouth. She also tried to get two students to stop arguing, when the 15-year-old chimed in with a threat.
The boy’s mother arrived, scolded him and said he has a behavioral disorder. The boy apologized for his behavior and shook an officers hand before he left. The case is being sent to the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office.
Tagger caught
A graffiti tagger got caught and trespassed on June 1.

Police arrived and located the man walking in front of the Safeway. He denied writing “lil speedy” and “Shone” on the column with a felt marker.
While police were at Papa Murphy’s an employee said they had seen the tagger drawing on the column. She agreed to let officers drive her to where the man was being detained and she positively identified the man as the tagger.
He was trespassed from the property.
Threatening call
A Renton woman reported that she received a threatening phone call from her ex-husband on June 2.
The woman said her ex-husband of 30 years, who she divorced in 2006, called her on May 23 and left messages threatening to burn down a laundromat and assault her. Police arrived at the laundromat, 17923 108th Ave. S.E., and she told them that he wanted money from her because he was part owner of the business and thinks he is owed.
The woman said the man is in Vietnam now, although he lives in Burien, but she feared the threats because he has assaulted family members in the past and has a bad temper.
She was instructed on how to apply for a restraining order.
