Two women were stabbed in the abdomen during a disturbance Sunday afternoon at an apartment complex in the 13400 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way, according to a King County Fire District 20 spokesman.

Fire district personnel arrived at the complex just after 2 p.m. Dave Nelson, a fire district spokesman, reported in a press release that according to the King County Sheriff’s Office, the disturbance occurred in one apartment unit in which the two women, whose ages weren’t immediately available, were stabbed by a man in his late 20s.

The suspect jumped from a third-story balcony, suffering multiple injuries. He was rescued by fire district personnel, with help from the Tukwila Fire Department, after falling a second time down embankment.

All three people were reported in serious but stable condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
