Valley Medical Center is once again on Modern Healthcare magazine’s list of the top 100 “Best Places to Work in Healthcare,” ranking 10th out of the 100 companies.

The public district hospital ranked sixth among large healthcare companies and 10th overall. VMC is the only hospital selected from Washington state. This marks the third consecutive year that VMC has been named to the publication’s list of best places to work in the nation and the second year for ranking in the top 10.

“We take such pride in this recognition from Modern Healthcare,” said Rich Roodman, Valley Medical Center CEO. “There are challenges that come with being a busy, large public hospital, and we believe that one of the best ways to ensure superior patient care is to take good care of our staff and clinicians.”

To be considered for the list, VMC submitted a comprehensive company profile. Then Modern Healthcare randomly selected VMC employees to send confidential email surveys on eight topics.
