Vision House is holding The Vision of Hope Dessert Auction Oct. 4 from 7-9:30 p.m. at Renton Technical College, at 3000 N.E. Fourth St.

The evening will feature hearty hor’s d oevures and desserts and a silent and live auction. A former Vision House mother will also speak at the event, sharing how she went from homelessness and desperation to a life of purpose and self-sufficiency.

Funds raised will benefit Vision House, which is currently undergoing a 40-percent expansion in the number of families served.
