Renton Salvation Army’s biggest food drive of the year is The Letter Carriers Food Drive on May 10.
Each resident is asked to leave non-perishable food in a bag by his or her mailbox. The food will then be delivered to the Renton Salvation Army.
Volunteers are needed to unload and sort the food. Renton Salvation Army is expecting 70,000 pounds of food this year. Volunteers are needed from 1-8 p.m., but people do not need to commit to an entire day of work.
To volunteer, call Andrea Roy, 425-255-5969, by May 7. Renton Rotary Food Bank and Social Services Center is at 206 S. Tobin St.
