RUFF is holding Wags ‘n Wines, a fundraiser to build an off-leash dog park in Renton, on April 27 from 6-9 p.m. at Vino at The Landing.

Tickets to Wags ‘n Wines are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Advance tickets are available at Vino. Each ticket includes two glasses of wine and light appetizers. A silent auction is at 8:30 p.m.

All proceeds benefit the construction of Renton’s off-leash dog park. City Council included $50,000 for the dog park in this year’s budget. But the nonprofit RUFF, Renton’s Unleashed Furry Friends, must raise additional money for the park’s construction.

Renton’s dog park will be built on a 5-acre, city-owned field next to the Cedar River trail, site of the former NARCO brick plant.

The city created a Dog Park Task Force last spring after years of dog-park requests.
