Nene joined her loving husband Louis G. Taclay, her parents, and her siblings (Juanito, Reynaldo, Lourdes, Expectacion, & Jose), and her brother and sister in law (Carling & Ising) on her 90th birthday (April 4, 2019).

She is survived by her sisters Josefa and Eufrosina; her brother-in-law Garry, her son/nephew Carlos, nephews (Cyr, Phil, Imix, & Eddie), nieces (Gail, Farrah-Marisa, Jane, Lorna, Roxanne, Yasmin, Ruth, Thelma, & Pat), grandchildren (Jackie, Tre, Lily, Mia, Ela-Lucia, & Anson), Bertha, and Sister Nor.

Ann was a pioneer in her career as an educator, principal, and School Superintendent. She received a full scholarship to UCLA and University of Washington from USAID after graduating from Philippines Normal College, Ateneo de Manila, and the University of the Philippines. She was a beloved Elementary school teacher in the Renton School District – serving at Hillcrest and Kennydale Elementary Schools.

Blissfully married to Uncle Louis, a grand Knight of Columbus – both were devout Catholics who served at St Anthony’s Parish in Renton for decades. They travelled the world on Catholic pilgrimages and prayed the rosary everyday. Auntie Nene had a special devotion to our Lady’s Memorare prayer; which she asked us to pray before any endeavor.

Auntie Nene will be deeply missed by her family, co- teachers, and her many friends. God bless her soul.

Funeral Mass will be held in St Anthony’s Parish in Renton on Friday, April 12 at 10:00 AM followed by burial services at Greenwood Memorial at noon.
