Arlene Riley
Arlene Riley was born in Watford
City, North Dakota daughter of
Thomas and Edna Aarhus. Arlene
was the only daughter with three
brothers, Verne, Alvin and Robert.
The Aarhus clan moved to Renton,
Washington. Arlene attended
Renton High School where she met her future husband of
55 years-Michael James Riley III. Married on June 12th, 1953
at St. Anthony’s Church in Renton. Arlene and Mike had
five children: Deborah, Michael IV, Denise, Jeffrey and Erin.
Arlene and Mike retired to Sun Lakes Arizona. Arlene was a
faithful Christian and was always involved in the church community.
Arlene lived to see her children’s children’s children!
She passed away peacefully at home on July 17th in Arizona
after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Arlene is survived by her
older Brother Al Aarhus and his wife Donna. Her five Children,
twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
