BRUCE “ANDY” ALEXANDER ANDERSON

Bruce “Andy” Alexander Anderson was born on April 21,1946 in Pasadena, CA and passed on September 5, 2017 at the age of 71 in Renton, WA.

Bruce was born to George and Ellen Anderson. He was raised on Lake Sherwood in California with the sister Flavia. After his parents divorced he moved to Beverly Hills with his mother and sister. There he attended Beverly Hills High School. In 1966 he enlisted in the Marine Corps to join the Vietnam War where he was stationed mostly in Okinawa. After returning home in late 1969, he moved to the Pacific Northwest, Renton, WA with his wife at the time Linda. Bruce’s father and stepmother soon followed from California.

Here in Renton, he lovingly raised his two daughters Megan and Erin. Bruce became an active member of the community and gained employment with the Renton School District where he worked for many years. Missing the military he joined the Army Reserves in the late 70s and served until retiring in 2006.

In 1994 he met and married Judy Anderson. Together they owned Park Avenue Antiques in Renton until 2015 when they retired.

Bruce Anderson is survived by his wife Judy Anderson, his older sister Flavia Kavenaugh, two daughters Megan Jacob and Erin Anderson. Two step-children Rebecca Jacob and Matthew Jacob. Also grandchildren and step-grandchildren PFC1 Nick Carter, Trent Carter, Reagan Jacob, Ethan Carter, Wilson Jacob and Liam Carter. He is also survived by his dog Pippin that he shared with Erin. As we go on alone, we will tread lightly knowing he holds a piece of our soul until he calls us home.

On September 30, 2017, from 1 to 3:30 PM, there will be a party to celebrate and remember Bruce “Andy” Anderson with friends and family. The event will be held at 5210 1st Avenue South, Seattle, WA 98108. Please contact Megan at magnoliablossim@gmail.com with questions.
