Calvin Carl Watts, born on June 14, 1944 in East Palatka, Florida, to the late Thelma G. Watts and the late Calvin A. Watts, passed away at age 73 on May 30, 2018 in Renton, Washington. Calvin served in the Air Force as a jet aircraft mechanic and attended Bethune Cookman College. Calvin also worked as an account representative at Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Bellevue, WA, where he retired. Calvin was married to Barbara J. Watts. He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin A. Watts and Thelma Watts; uncle Carl (Gertrude) Dawson; aunt Victoria Gundy; stepson, Sammy Harbour; brothers, Jerry Watts and Kenny Watts, and sisters, Brenda Watson and Vicki Lynn. Calvin C. Watts is survived by his son, Calvin J. (Robbye) Watts, Ed. D; stepson, Colon Harbour; Azziem H. Underwood; brothers, Herbie Watts and Carlee Watts; sister, Ladybeth (Frank) Turner; grandchild, Devin C. Watts. He enjoyed sports, carpentry, fishing, traveling, eating great food and supporting youth initiatives. Whether as an usher at New Beginnings Christian Fellowship, as a member of The Breakfast Group, or as a foster parent to so many deserving youth—one of Calvin’s greatest gifts was serving others. Calvin leaves to celebrate his life a host of other relatives and friends who lovingly referred to him as “C.C.” or “Pops”. Leslie Braxton, on Monday, June 11 from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at New Beginnings Christian Fellowship (NBCF), 19300 108th SE, Renton, Washington, 98055. The Repast will take place immediately following the funeral. The interment service will be on Tuesday, June 12 at 10:30 a.m. at the Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th St, Kent, WA 98042.
