Donald G. Kingsley, 65, of Boise died on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 5th at the Five Mile Church of the Nazarene. Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian.Don was born March 8, 1943 in North Bend Oregon to Donald and Cora Kingsley. The family lived in Oregon for the first two years of Don’s life. The family then moved to Seattle Washington where they he lived at 7557 S 12th St. He graduated from Renton High School in 1961. He worked briefly for The Boeing Company as a draftsman until he was drafted in 1964 into the US Army. After basic he spent 2 years in Bamburg Germany, working in Security Message Center. He received an honorable discharge and moved back to Seattle. After a brief stint with Boeing, he started work for Standard Oil. In 1966 he met the love of his life. He and Toni were married on July 21 of 1967. They had three children: Colleen, Robin and Carolina. He worked for the US Post Office in Renton Washington, left to have his own Chevron station for a while and then went back to the Postal Service. He and his family made many memories of trips fishing and crabbing in Washington. The family hunted at Twisp every fall in the Okanogan area. In 1985 he transferred to Meridian Idaho. He worked for the U.S. Post Office as a letter carrier for another seven years. He took early retirement to spend time with the family fishing and camping. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Toni; daughter Colleen and Rick Johns of Ellijay, GA and their son, Robert; Son, Robin Kingsley of Boise, ID and his sons, Mike and Chase; daughter Carolina and her husband, Robert Schaeffer and their children: Justin, Tim, Jared, Brandon and Heather; grandson, Chris Garrett and great-grandson, Cole Schaeffer and great-granddaughter, Lily Schaeffer. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Darrell Cedric Sulin.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Don’s name to St. Luke’s Hospice, 325 W. Idaho, Boise, ID 83702.
