Dorothy M. (Pellegrino) Herman, 92, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019, in Bremerton, Washington.

Dorothy is survived by her sister Lorraine Taylor, brother Anthony Pellegrino and brother Sam Pellegrino. Dorothy leaves her 3 children, Michael Herman, Marlene Herman, Cathleen (Herman) Jarvis and her grandchildren, Sam Severo, Angela Smith, Jennifer Ford, James Jarvis, Renae Petersen and many great grandchildren.

Dorothy was born in Spring Valley, Illinois on July 17, 1926 to Amelia and Salvatore Pellegrino. The Pellegrino family moved to Renton in 1928 where Dorothy resided until 2015 when she moved to Kitsap County to be closer to family. Dorothy was a lifelong member of Saint Anthony Catholic Church and attended the parish school.

Dorothy met her husband, Michael Herman at the Swedish Club in Seattle and they were married in the original (old) St. Anthony Church in September of 1949.

Dorothy was an avid gardener and until her move to Silverdale, WA tended the flowers and rose garden at St. Anthony’s Church.

A funeral mass will be held at Saint Anthony Church in Renton on June 28, 2019 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations welcome in her name to St. Anthony Parish.
