Glenn L. Hardy
Renton resident Glenn L. Hardy was born to Iral B. and Helen (Rider) Hardy on October 11, 1920 and went to walk with Jesus on July 16, 2009. Along with his parents, his only sibling Alma Jean Hitchcock preceded him in death.Glenn is survived by his bride of nearly 60 years, Rena B. (Nelson) Hardy, along with his five children; Glenda Rios, Neva Gould (Barry), Kris Fregin (Donald), Lee Hardy (Lisa) and Craig Hardy. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren.Glenn attended school in Choteau, MT. As a young man he worked in construction, timber, and engaged in farming with his father. He served in the CCC’s prior to enlisting in the US Army in 1939 and then served overseas duty in Cold Bay Alaska and Italy. Glenn was discharged honorably in October, 1945. Glenn’s job brought his family to Milton-Freewater, OR in 1957 where they resided for 13 years, prior to retiring in Renton after 20 years working as a truck driver for Burlington Northern. Glenn was a proud member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and was a life member of the Milton-Freewater, OR Elks Lodge.There will be graveside services at Tahoma National Cemetery on July 28th at 11 am.
