Leo Lawrence Nowitzki
Leo Lawrence Nowitzki was born on March 4, 1927 to Frank Jacob and Edith Elizabeth (Sparre) Nowitzki in Seattle, WA. He passed away July 7, 2016 at the age of 89 in Federal Way, WA.
Leo served in the US Army during WWII from 1945-1947. He was a Greyhound bus driver for 16 years, then worked for the WA State Department of Transportation for 20+ years.
Leo is survived by his wife, Karen; sister, Colleen and brother, Charles; daughters Sue, Anne, Nancy, Andrea; and son Scott; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother Frank, sister Barbara, and former wife, Laura.
Leo enjoyed sports (especially softball which he played until his late 70’s) singing, and humor in the way of puns, jokes and funny sayings. His kindness, faith and humor will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held Monday, July 18th at 11:00 at New Life Church, 15711 152nd Ave SE, Renton, WA 98058.
