Lucile “Lu” Pastore Raymond
Lucile “Lu” Pastore Raymond of Ellensburg, WA and long time resident of Renton, WA passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 26, 2008.Lu was born to Steven and Caroline (Windnagel) Pastore on June 29, 1914 in Sunshine Colorado, at the family farm “Sunshine Meadows”. The second of seven children after completing 8th grade at the Sunshine School Lu worked for room and board to complete high school in Boulder, Colorado.She moved to Renton and in 1946 Lu married her beloved husband of 60 years Russell S. Raymond. She was employed by several businesses in Renton as a bookkeeper. She was a volunteer at the Renton Hospital where she did flower arranging and modeling clothes at fundraisers. Lu was an avid gardener, growing large gardens and filling her yard with beautiful flowers every year. Her and her husband enjoyed traveling after retirement. She also enjoyed collecting Blue Willow dishes, quilting, baking and spending time with her family.Lucile was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters, a granddaughter Donna Keirn and her beloved husband Russ.She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Dale and Bobie Pastore. Daughter Evelyn Keirn of Seattle, WA, Sons Richard Brown and wife Kathy of South Bend, WA, Russ Raymond and wife Diane of Raymond, WA. Grandchildren Dennis Keirn, Dorrit and Mike Evenson, Laurie and Mike Morgan, Craig and Annalisa Brown, Courtney, Shane, Haleigh and Lindsey Raymond. Great-grandchildren Weston, Kevin and Miranda. And many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.A celebration of Lu’s life will be held December 6th from 11:00 to 3:00 at 108 Main St. Suite #2 Ellensburg, WA.Donations can be made to Alzheimer Research of your choice.
