Long time Renton resident, Lucy Marie Ozbolt (Pratt) died peace-fully in her home at Brighton Gardens of Bellevue on October 30, 2008. She was loved by her family, friends and the family she acquired at Brighton Gardens. Lucy was born in Seattle at the Providence Hospital on February 6, 1920 to Robert and Maria Pratt. She was preceded in death by her two brothers Ronald and Robert Jr. Her very early years she grew up in Seattle and then moved to Kent and Renton respectfully where her father established Pratt’s Renton Flower Shop in 1929. Lucy became Worthy Advisor of the Renton Chapter of Rainbow Girls in her early teens and also Renton High School’s Vice President of her Student Body. She graduated from RHS in 1938. On May 20, 1939 she married Slavo P. (Ozzy) Ozbolt, and they raised their family and made their home in Renton until Dad passed away in November 2003.Lucy and Ozzy had 3 children, Bonnie (Ken) Doane, Marylou (Corky) Ozbolt-Storer and Phillip (Theresa) Ozbolt, 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Music was her love and hobby and was an accomplished Piano, Organ and Ukulele musician. “Name that Song and She Could Play It”! She enjoyed being a homemaker and going on road trips with Dad in their antique cars.Our special thanks to all the people who have cared and loved our Mom in her latter years and to those dear people at Brighton Gardens where she enjoyed her last 1 1/2 years. A funeral service for Lucy Marie Ozbolt (Pratt) will be held at 2:00 p.m. on November 7, 2008 at Greenwood Faull-Stokes of Renton, 425-255-1511.If you wish in lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to The Children’s Orthopedic Hospital.
