Morres (Maurice) J. Bauer, 87

Born in Sutton, NE 6/13/21, passed away on 2/9/2009 in Federal Way, WA. He attended school in Sutton, NE; graduated from high school in Portland, OR. He went on to the University of Portland until he enlisted in the Army Air Corp. Morry was a bomber pilot in WWII. His B24 Liberator was shot down over Berlin in 1944 and he spent 11 month as a POW in Germany.Morry spent his working career involved in the electrical contracting industry, spending the last 30 years as a business manager for Holmes Electric of Renton, WA. He retired to Olympia, WA where he enjoyed gardening, wine making and his affiliation with the Christmas Town USA POW group in Shelton, WA.Morry is survived by his wife of 65 years, Muriel (Mimi) Bauer of Federal Way; daughters Janice K. Hayes of Bellingham, Virginia Crothers of Kent; grandson Kyle Hayes; great grandson Bram Hayes; brother A. W. Bauer, and several nieces and nephews.A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at the Maplewood Greens Golf Course, Renton, WA, at 1:00 PM. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
