Paul “Jack” Jackson Crutchfield
Paul “Jack” Jackson Crutchfield passed away on June 28, 2010 at his Renton home. He was 84 years old. He was born to Roby and Helen on November 14, 1925 in Hinsdale, MT. With his father and mother, two brothers and sister they moved to Renton in 1941. He served in the Navy during WWII in the Pacific. He married Rita Noel, his beloved wife of 64 years, on May 10, 1946. He was a resident of Renton for 69 years and he and Rita lived in the same house for the past 63 years. As a welder he was an artisan without peer and spent over 40 years in the Boilermakers Union. He worked for PAC-CAR, spent many summers in Alaska working on the DEW Line, and retired from Alaska Copper & Brass in Seattle. He loved gold prospecting, photography, hunting, fishing, camping, his Jeep, motorcycles, and creating useful things using his metal working skills. He especially enjoyed time spent with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, sister Faunielle, and brothers Richard and Roby “Bill”.He is survived by his wife Rita, son Jack Crutchfield of Bonney Lake, daughter VaNita Bradshaw of Lynnwood, grandson Todd Crutchfield of Newcastle, granddaughter Tanya Dalan of Bonney Lake, and great granddaughters Lauren and Julianne Crutchfield. We all loved him dearly and will miss him. A memorial and celebration of life will be held 3:30pm Friday, July 23 at the Kennydale Memorial Hall, 2424 NE 27th Street, Renton.
